Recognized for Excellence. The Comprehensive Cancer Center at P/SL is approved by the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) Commission on Cancer as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program. P/SL undergoes a rigorous survey process to ensure that ACoS program requirements are met, with the goal of improving cancer control efforts in prevention, early diagnosis, pretreatment evaluation, staging, treatment, rehabilitation and surveillance for recurrent and multiple primary cancers, and to enhance the care of the terminally ill patient.
Our Blood and Marrow Transplant Center achieved F.A.C.T. accreditationan endorsement from the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) that recognizes P/SL's BMT program as having met the organization's standards for the provision of quality medical and laboratory practice in blood and marrow transplantation. Our program is one of only a limited number of programs nationwide to receive such an honor.
